A New Adventure....

I knew this would be happening sometime "in the future." I just didn't expect the future to get here so quickly. In two short days I will be moving to Dubuque. My husband has been hired on at IBM. I am very excited for him as he gets to embark on the career he has been working towards. But, I am also sad too. I love living here near my family. I love that my name as a photographer is being passed around more and more. I have met some wonderful people while doing this thing that I love.

For those of you panicing because you wanted to me to do your family/senior/baby pictures but hadn't scheduled an appointment yet - don't worry. I'll be making time to come down to do sessions. Not so much in the next few months but in the spring and summer for sure. And I will have some time in November possibly - let me know if you're interested.

It's been a hectic couple weeks with house hunting, last minute sessions, and packing. Lots of packing. And that's what I should be doing now. Packing.

But before I go - some pictures from some of my sessions these last couple of weeks. :)

A Senior Shoot and Some Shay

I had a senior session on Monday with Chris who is a friend of my sister's. Chris brought along his friend Willy(the blonde guy at the bottom of this post.) They cracked me up the entire time. It was fun. :)

Here are a few from his session:

And of course a headless photo... because I like them.

Today in order to not waste a perfectly gorgeous afternoon, Shay and I went out to take pictures (as if I don't already have a million photos to edit.) Here are a few from today.

Mackenzie's Senior Photos

Mother Nature and Miss Mackenzie don't really get along. We had a photo session scheduled back in ooooh June I think. But we got lots of rain and our town flooded and we decided to wait to do her session. We finally rescheduled for a day this month. And on that day it rained. It seems like this happened one other time too but I don't remember for sure. Luckily though this Tuesday was a nice day - a bit chilly but at least the skys were blue.

Mackenzie is a boxer and she has bright pink boxing gloves. We had fun with those.

Some more of the beautiful Mackenzie...

Not only did Mackenzie bring her boxing gloves but she also brought her boyfriend. We took a few with him and then sent him away. He was was making Mackenzie nervous. :)

Stephanie's Senior Portraits

The weather was GORGEOUS Saturday. Blue skys, colorful trees, hardly any wind, no rain, no snow, decent temperatures. Perfect picture taking weather.

Stephanie is a senior at Cardinal. Super sweet and extra giggly. We had fun and we went out to a new picture spot I've been wanting to try.

Here are a few of Stephanie's pictures:

And here are a few from the new spot...

OH - and a couple just for fun pics...

Courtney's Senior Session

I had four sessions scheduled this weekend but two were canceled because of the weater - rain on Friday afternoon and EXTREME wind today. At least it didn't rain ALL weekend which is what I was afraid of!

Before my Friday afternoon session was cancelled I had a Friday morning session with Courtney, a senior at Ottumwa. We made our way through out town and even with the bike trail which I haven't used much lately as a picture spot. Here are a few of her pictures!

Ashley's Senior Portraits

At the end of August I had the privilege of doing Ashley's senior portraits. I used to babysit Ashley during my summer breaks from college. She has grown up to be a fun and beautiful girl. Later this month I get to do photos for her sisters 16th birthday. :)

A few from Ashley's session.
